Im 73hrs in. 🙌🏾 Congratulations!!!!
My mom was always the life of the party, but at home, the bottles told a different story. I was only six years old when I first saw her miss my school play, too lost in a fog of wine and regrets.
One night, she found me asleep at the kitchen table, a crumpled drawing in my hand—Mommy and Me at the Park. A park we never went to.
Something broke inside her.
The next morning, she poured every bottle down the drain. The first year was hell. The second, a battle. By the fifth, she was mentoring others.
It’s been almost 20 years now since she got sober.
Coming up on my 14 year this November. Congratulations! Best 14 years of my life!

I am so proud of you. This is a big thing, a milestone. This is a hard thing to overcome I have been an alcoholic my whole life with three years now, and quite a bit of sober periods. Keep it up I’m with you. 😀👍
