By the way, if you thought that this movie was originally in black-and-white and then altered into colour decades later (like The Big Steal, It’s A Wonderful Life, or King Kong), then you’re not alone.
I wasted several minutes trying to find an original black-and-white print on YouTube, only to discover that this movie was indeed filmed in colour. Just goes to show how much I know about moviemaking technicalities.
