New clothes can leak a bit of dye, this gets exaggerated more with hotter water, so washing with cold water will avoid most of the color bleed
I have never ever sorted laundry, not once in my life.
Id say separate whites out because they’ll pick up everything. But I don’t have any white clothes, so i have never sorted my laundry. I also use cold water
Depends, my clothes for sure dont matter, but if i accidentally put my towels in there…. everything turns red
Soap is better. It was soap that caused colors to leak out of clothes. You generally don’t need to sort colors at all anymore. You also don’t need to wash in hot or even warm if your clothes aren’t very dirty.

Cause y’all probably just use cold water only. Try doing that with a red shirt and white socks in hot water…
My brother did that once, my superman shirt and underwear became pink🙂.
Turns out most mens clothes can be washed with any colours and on any heat and survive.
Womens clothes on the other hand ….lol.
