He’s said this every holiday for the past 10 years. Remember when he wished a happy 9/11 to the haters and losers?
Because no matter what he does, how much money he has, how many women he rapes deep down he is empty inside because his parents never gave him any love.
All of the Trump followers seem to be more angry after they win. I think part of it is that they feel empowered in their hatred. Another part of it is that in some ways, they thought it would be some final victory, and everyone else would admit that they are right and Trump is great. That didn’t happen. Lots of them are losing family and friends over their vote. It’s not the great victory they wanted. That pisses them off.
He likes to campaign. He doesn’t like the work of President.

Because he doesn’t fucking want to be president! Who doesn’t get this?
He WANTS to get on stage and talk whilst people cheer
He WANTS to be glad handed and given money
He WANTS to not go to jail for his many many many crimes.
He does NOT want to go to briefings or meetings or read or do anything he’s told to do.
He WANTS to campaign. Not have the job. Can’t be a victim if you win.
Because he’s realizing, he still isn’t a King. Can’t do what he wants, and people still laugh at him.
They’re going to run out of people and things to hate
I wouldn’t mind seeing a side-by-side comparison of every Presidential Thanksgiving tweet.
This is going to be the most deranged Thanksgiving message I’ve ever seen.
Got the entire country divided against each other over imaginary political lines. Good little human capital stock you all are.
So many people said Obama was divisive, but I don’t remember Obama sending out tweets disparaging his opponents on holidays.
Because he hated being president the first time. He isn’t in control of his life and has to attend briefings and meetings and listen to things that he has no interest in. He can’t go golfing anytime he wants, it has to be scheduled and is a big production. He has to travel to places he wouldn’t normally choose to go and talk to people he has no interest in meeting or talking to.
If it weren’t for the fact he was likely going to jail, he would not have run again. He didn’t really want to be president the first time. He wanted to run and expected to lose and then grift off of the stolen election theory for the rest of his life. Now he has to keep running until he dies or his legal problems will catch up to him. Why do you think he is already “joking” about a third term? He knows if he isn’t in office, there is a chance he ends up in jail.
He’s what the French call Les incompetents
Because the reality is setting in: he’s got the White House, Senate, (almost) House, Supreme Court. He can blame Biden for a little while, but when shit goes inevitably sideways, there’s nowhere to point the blame. He’s a dumb, lazy, spoiled fuck, so the prospect of having to actually either work, or take the blame, isn’t appealing.
(Oh, don’t worry – I know he’ll still try to blame Biden or even Obama, but even the dumbest amongst his supporters will get tired of that schtick…)

Because, like many Republican influencers, he was and will always be rejected by the actual east coast elites. They see right through him and know him to be a fraud who is only good for tax cuts. No matter how much power and influence is given to him through his supporters, the people he actually cares about will always seen him as the clown he is and it eats him alive.
He has been an inherently miserable creature his whole life, thanks to his horrible and abusive father.
And it’s only getting worse as he decompensates.
Always a victim

He never wanted this job, he doesn’t want to serve the people. he just didn’t want to go to jail.
Plus, let’s be real here.
Trump *hated* being president.
He liked being cheered and getting his little narcissistic taint tickled, but the rest of it? You know, the actual *work* of the fucking job? He *hated* it. Why do you think he spent almost a quarter of his first term on the golf course?
Because he actually hates being president. It means more work, it means he might get held accountable when the only thing he has any experience with is running a shitty family construction business, and it means he will be subject to near constant criticism regardless of what decision he makes. But the thing is he hates the prospect of prison even more.
No matter what happens he, and fellow Republicans, NEED to maintain the illusion that progressive thought is bad for the country. This is the only way the gullible and poorly educated will follow them into ruin.
Cuz now he actually has to work & will be on the hook for anything that happens.
It’s one thing to be on the sidelines & throwing grenades & insults at what the incumbent is doing.
But in the hot seat, look at all the mind numbingly stupid cats he has to herd, the number of fights he has to referee & the number of political enemies who would knife him in the back to get ahead.
Because he is a miserable piece of shit.
Hate sells. Gotta keep the base stoked to keep raking in their pensions.
Everyone who voted for him seems to be miserable- I don’t think these people are familiar with joy.
Daddy issues….
While he was running for office, he could hold a rally at some random location, and count on people to show up to listen to him talk about himself. Cheer for him. Clap when he made mean jokes.
Now he’s elected, and there are no more rallies. Even his family can’t stand him. The people he’s appointing to office will bow and applaud like good Politburo members, but there’s not very many of them.
So he can try to surround himself with MAGAts and hangers-on, hold some holiday event at Mar-A-Lago, but basically he’s alone. He’s facing 80, failing health, probably a drug habit, and no one likes him.
That’s why he’s miserable.
Returning to the White House was comparably easy, but now comes the hard part:
Staying in the White House past 2028 after having pissed off most of the gullible schmucks who voted for him in order to repay the few powerful people who funded his campaign with hundreds of millions.
