Those columns are usually meant to sell you financial services. They’re meant to make you feel insecure so you’ll pay someone to manage your money.

So accurate for someone not fluent in the most basic of finances
But hey, people have been planning on getting bailed out by the apocalypse for millennia now. Maybe it’ll work out for this guy!

These Twits are the most dramatic people of all time.
Sorry you were born in an incredibly prosperous country, but a couple decades too late where the older generation had it a little easier than you.
I’m sure people in South Sudan feel really bad for you.

If it’s any consolation to you, be in mind that the majority of us Boomers retire on Social Security and what remains of our savings. A great many of us do not have medical insurance, do not own houses, or have pensions or annuities. Many more of us do not have families that can provide support when in urgent need.

Boomer here. Itโs not that hard to retire and live a comfortable life. My immigrant family has all done the same starting with very low wage jobs, saving, getting ahead at work, saving more and maxing out 401k. Stick to it and donโt blow money on stupid things you donโt need and stay out of debt as much as possible. Not yet retiredโฆ.still a few year away but we will be good.

I’m a late boomer, late 1964. My retirement plan is DIF. Dead in field, i am a contractor, and they will probably pull me out of an empty swimming pool because I do pools, lol. Not all boomers are rich. I took care of my dad after his stroke and mom s death. 5 step kids finished me off, lol. Doing the best I can, that is life. Oh, cheap, rich people are not my favorites.

I don’t personally know any boomers retiring on that kind of money. Given the way the next 4 years are looking, I’m probably going to end up working well into my 70s.

I’m looking forward to the climate wars. I’ll probably fight for the eastern defense forces for a little while and then try to help people in the Caribbean before it disappears under the ocean. Pro tip, remember to use condoms on the barrel of your firearms to keep them free from particulate matter and viscera. ๐๐พ

Eh, I’m not as lucky as some, but I’m better off than many. Still, misery isn’t an Olympic event, where only the most miserable person on has any right to complain, with the rest if us having to just be thankful we arent them… though, misery also isn’t a spectator sport, and if you choose to take your personal experience of misery to a public venue, be prepared for some pretty harsh, anonymous internet criticisms.
