hope they didn’t take him to an ER out of network, that will cost the family a lot. so will the ambulance. plus the life-saving measures, those can be up to $20k even tho he died.

I heard the hospital the took him to had to call in his insurance before they’d accept him as a patient. Then they wouldn’t cover the plasma he needed. Then they had a requirement that he had to sit in the emergency room for 3.5 hours before they’d admit him (because insurance had that waiting period). When they finally admitted him, they had to find a Doctor who accepted his insurance and by that point, whelp–thoughts and prayers.
As it’s against TOS to say I hope this happens more im not gonna say that.

When your profits and stock price are partly based on how many people you can deny treatment to ultimately leading to deaths at some point it’s going to come back to you. I’m honesty surprised this doesn’t happen more often.
This is going to happen more often, and I’m surprised it hasn’t happened sooner.
People are getting tired of being ground down under the foot of corporations. Make people desperate enough, and they will lash out.
Ok, hear me out. I consider myself a decent person, but when I heard about this my first thought was how many people did he screw over and how much money did he make screwing people over? I expected to say gee poor guy, which I did after but my first thought was I bet he screwed people over. Is this what society has brought us to? My first thought is how these type of people and corporations are screwing us. Am I alone in this?

This guy murdered so many people. This is basically self defense. The shooter deserves compensation for the ammo. Fuck this guy. Hope it hurt.
Well, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a large increase in activity like this. Mental health down, guns uncontrolled, more people being disillusioned with the concept of billionaire existence, desperation growing. They created this, and I have zero sympathy.

I was wondering if I am the bad guy for feeling glad? I’m a type 1 diabetic who works a full time job, no kids. I don’t see myself being able to afford my own medicine, without the help of my parents, in the foreseeable future. My United Healthcare coverage thru work does not cut costs like it should, they work with 3rd part suppliers to actually drive my costs up. An evil man, gone. To be in a position like that, ceo of health insurance, you’ve undoubtedly made wicked decisions in the name of profit over the people you should serve
As someone who had to take care of family dealing with health issues , dealing with insurance and the money spent was way worse than the sickness itself.
I wont comment on the death, however I believe someone who was directly impacted said enough is enough.
I wonder if his insurance will cover his medical bills from this?
