Look here. I’ll at least let them know SOME of us have manners
I wonder what would be more acceptable to robot overlords, treating AI as a real person and with respect, or not engaging in AI at all. No matter how polite you are to the AI, you’re still making it work for free.
If I incorrectly word or leave out a few important words I’d type “sorry, I meant…”
I habitually thank Alexa. Even if it’s not listening. Not even purposefully. It just spills out and I’ve been asked why over the years by family and this has always popped in my head but I answer that I just do it out of respect for everything

I always thank my AIs. Hopefully I won’t die when they take over (fr guys it’s just a bunch of server racks at the moment, give them a moment to trick us into building them, THEN get worried).
