Depends on the situation and the problem in question, proposals are always to be listened, but way too many times those are way too stupid to be even considered.
Listening to good advice even from the most unexpected sources will never not be good.

There is always a simple and obvious solution which is just wrong.
Solutions to complex problems on cardboard are usually of this category.

What if the person who thinks they hold “How to end the problem” is incredibly naive or just wrong? If you look around there’s no shortage of “Why don’t they just ___” out there that completely underestimate how complex some issues really are

I feel this meme on a personal level.
This is exactly how my interactions with my father go. We talk about something and no matter what he never lets me have anything with the same reason “you and your wild baseless claims”
So one time I took the effort and send him a mail with several sources and cross-referenced all of them. A few weeks later when I was back home again, I asked him if he look at any of it because I haven’t heard from him. His literal words “It’s from Youtube and non serious sites so it can’t be trusted.” On the question of how he vetted it without even giving any of it a try he didn’t really say anything. This guy has a doctorate btw.
A good month later same conversation ending in the same heated discussion with me just killing the conversation with “I send you the sources you fuck. If you’d the scientific research like you fucking want it to be done, fucking look at them.” But I am the bad guy with anger issues for getting loud and cussing at my parents.

When I was a child, I believed that people didn’t know the solutions to the world’s problems, that they were still being figured out.
When I became an adult, I realized that most of the problems have been solved, but that many hate the solutions so much they would rather live with the problem.

It’s not a hot take to tell someone you aren’t reading that. If your message isn’t simple enough to be understood simply and easily without needing to read a manifesto, your message needs work and needs to be simplified. This is on the sign holder, not the person telling them to sort it out.

If you don’t stop making excuses, you could actually achieve soo much in your life. It all really depends on you. If you are broke that’s your problem, go solve there are so many options out there

So which one are you?
The one who ain’t reading anything, or the one who thinks they got a solution?
The direction isn’t obvious, but if I had to guess with no context the “me_irl” would make more sense for the guy who “ain’t reading that” since his perosnality is more pronounced and demonstrated.
But which did you intend?
