“Working two jobs just to scrape by is miserable”

-“Just get a higher paying job lmao”

*Explaination of how people living in poverty are at a disadvantage of getting good jobs

-“You should have went to college lol”

*Explaining how people in poverty can’t afford college and have to prioritize not sleeping on the streets

-“You need to stop buying shoes lol”

???????

It’s normal

“A 2021 Pew Research Center survey found that 23% of American adults hadn’t read a book in the previous year.”

It feels like half the battle isn’t even finding solutions it’s getting people to actually give a damn in the first place.

This just happened to me

“It’s not a gun problem; it’s a mental health problem”

*how to help with mental health*

“I’m not voting for that” or “why should my taxes pay for someone else?”

Depends on the situation and the problem in question, proposals are always to be listened, but way too many times those are way too stupid to be even considered.

Listening to good advice even from the most unexpected sources will never not be good.

There is always a simple and obvious solution which is just wrong.
Solutions to complex problems on cardboard are usually of this category.

Republicans when they complain about a problem so democrats show them a solution and they vote against it

I’m the kind of person who solves problems the most basic way – just walk away.

**Oxford Names “Brainrot” as 2024 Word of the Year**

‘Brain rot’ is defined as “the supposed deterioration of a person’s mental or intellectual state, especially viewed as the result of overconsumption of material (now particularly online content) considered to be trivial or unchallenging

*”I love the uneducated!”*

Nuclear power discussions in a nut shell

What if the person who thinks they hold “How to end the problem” is incredibly naive or just wrong? If you look around there’s no shortage of “Why don’t they just ___” out there that completely underestimate how complex some issues really are

This is us in a nutshell: no fixes, just drama

IRL its always the flow

Hey hey, its the whole thanksimcured sub

Meta reference.

I feel this meme on a personal level.

This is exactly how my interactions with my father go. We talk about something and no matter what he never lets me have anything with the same reason “you and your wild baseless claims”

So one time I took the effort and send him a mail with several sources and cross-referenced all of them. A few weeks later when I was back home again, I asked him if he look at any of it because I haven’t heard from him. His literal words “It’s from Youtube and non serious sites so it can’t be trusted.” On the question of how he vetted it without even giving any of it a try he didn’t really say anything. This guy has a doctorate btw.

A good month later same conversation ending in the same heated discussion with me just killing the conversation with “I send you the sources you fuck. If you’d the scientific research like you fucking want it to be done, fucking look at them.” But I am the bad guy with anger issues for getting loud and cussing at my parents.

Idk man if someone gave me a thing that would undoubtedly make me happy I would probably do everything it says lmao

Read book to cure procrastination..I’ll get to it later

The problem is working as intended.

Politics in a nutshell.

Average redditor

The hardest step in fixing a problem: convincing people to care.

Politics in a nutshell.

When I was a child, I believed that people didn’t know the solutions to the world’s problems, that they were still being figured out.

When I became an adult, I realized that most of the problems have been solved, but that many hate the solutions so much they would rather live with the problem.

This hurts 😭💔 so real

It’s not a hot take to tell someone you aren’t reading that. If your message isn’t simple enough to be understood simply and easily without needing to read a manifesto, your message needs work and needs to be simplified. This is on the sign holder, not the person telling them to sort it out.

Then here’s my glock

Thanks a lot, Dad.

If you don’t stop making excuses, you could actually achieve soo much in your life. It all really depends on you. If you are broke that’s your problem, go solve there are so many options out there

So which one are you?

The one who ain’t reading anything, or the one who thinks they got a solution?

The direction isn’t obvious, but if I had to guess with no context the “me_irl” would make more sense for the guy who “ain’t reading that” since his perosnality is more pronounced and demonstrated.

But which did you intend?

“Read the solution”…. this is Worst than the problem!!!! … i got called a Biggot T-T
