It’s rather fitting that the American guillotine would be a pistol.
What irks me, is how they basically say fuck whatever the doctor says. My wife’s doctor kept her hospitalized an extra week after almost dying of sepsis, and insurance’s little handbook tells them only a week should have been needed, so they wanted to decline paying for the 2nd week.
Admittedly it doesn’t look like you’re injured. Are you trying to commit insurance fraud? /s

Put it simply: if we simply had hospital show their price upfront and publicly then you could price match. Thus you can look for the best deal. While the government could allow what’s called retail hospitals. Not where there are doctors but PNA’s can practice medicine and tend to folks at a lowered cost.
Also we shouldn’t have doctors who have been practicing medicine for ten years in other countries forced to go back to school and train to become a doctor. Instead have them take an exam. If you do that then the number of doctors will grow rapidly.
