I’m not paying for it right now but to me it’s easier to justify than some other streaming services
I’d probably pay for it if I didn’t mainly watch YouTube on my Desktop or laptop!
I watch a lot of YouTube on my TV through a Chromecast, plus I use YouTube music. It’s the same cost as Spotify but gives me more features.
Also mobile exists.
Same cost as Spotify premium and I get no ads for youtube music and regular YouTube. No brainer really.
everyone hates on it but paying for spotify and apple music is normalised. very stupid.
I would do all the hacky things when I was younger. Now I’m an adult and need to support essentially everyone in my family with tech issues.
It’s so much easier to just pay for services (family plan) than to have to play tech support.
I prefer buying back my time so I can do other things.
It’s also not bad, $22. Basically the cost of lunch.
Directly supports the creators I like and incentivizes a more sustainable revenue model for online platforms that doesn’t rely on cancerous ads. Why would it be a joke?
Replaced Spotify with YouTube music, got no ads as a nice bonus. Fuck spotify
Paying for YT premium is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. As someone who watches a lot of YT on PC, mobile and my TV, not having to sit through an unskippable every time I open a video saves me so much time and frustration. It’s only 10eur/month where I live and at that price it’s a no brainer for me. You also get YT music.
Ad blockers are amazing.
with student discount it’s literally 4* euro in my country (tax included), which is is only 0.5eur pricier than discounted spotify premium itself

1. family uses it daily, and they aren’t very tech savvy so i’m not going to bother them with setting up adblock on all their devices.
2. With how much we use it combined, it’s cheap.
3. supports creators more, even if its a little.
I say its worth it.

I used to pay, but meh not anymore
I bearly pay WoW sub per month (as far as sub based things go). On mobile I use youtube revanced (no ads), on pc Brave with extensions. I never used spotify, I don’t listen to music much. Youtube I mostly use to learn something via tutorials and that is kinda it. I don’t see a point to pay a sub for anything that I dont use daily honestly.
YouTube Premium is worth it.
I have a music app that plays any video on YouTube that qualifies as music without ads.
I have a podcast app that also displays video as well. No other podcast app has video that I am aware of. No ads.
I can watch YouTube on any device without requiring Adblock.
All of this for $7.99 per month.
YouTube is by far the site I use the most, and content creators gets more money from my views with YouTube Premium than without.
Paying for YTP is a no brainer to me.
I watch YT 100% of the time on my 75″ tv.
Is there any other way to do it without playing for premium? Cause without it, it is worse than getting anally fucked with a rusty mace.

Revanced exists for both yt music and yt videos. No ads and a whole bunch of other stuff like sponsor block.
Dns adblock also exists if you are willing to put in the effort.
You get youtube music included. If you use that for music it’s worth it
YT Premium is the only streaming service worth paying for actually.
I pay for it. I use YouTube a ton and also YouTube music in the car and on my motorcycle. I also don’t have any other music streaming service so having it plus ad-free YouTube is a win
Me and the boys went in on a family plan subscription back when it was YouTube red and we’ve never looked back since. I like that it more directly supports the channels I actually watch without me having to do jack shit. No kofi, no patreon, no individual channel subscriptions or twitch bs, and it universally removed ads on every device I use with no configuration. I watch YouTube so much on so many devices, the subscription just makes sense for me. Sure, it’s paying to solve a problem that YouTube themselves created. I have the skills and the resources to get around paying for it, but that requires my time which is much more valuable to me, and YouTube has shown they’re going to play whackamole with it so the time investment is variable. So is the cost but the variability is much less dramatic.
I don’t subscribe to anything but youtube premium, the value is insane compared to others tbh, I actually don’t understand the hate

Honestly, not bad if you consume YT or listen to music on your mobile…
That being said, I AM NOT paying £13 a month for that.
Fuck that noise, they want nearly 40 AUD a month for that shit
