In Scotland’s vast and scenic lands, there exists a haven of rugged beauty known as the Northwest Highlands. The region is often considered Scotland’s best-kept secret, harboring some of the country’s most breathtaking and tranquil landscapes. With breathtaking cliffs, pristine lochs, and heather-dressed moors, it is no wonder why nature-loving photographers flock to the region to capture its eternal enchantment.

Straddling the region near the Atlantic Ocean’s Atlantic edge, the Northwestern Highlands stretch for several million acres of heather-laden moors and scraggy granite landscapes of rugged grandeur. Located within the northwest boundary area, Knoydart Peninsula, lies another paradise, offering views which change as the wind or sunshine blows.
Here one takes a deep breath in tranquillity and allows these rugged, beautiful scenes capture life in all of it dimensions.
The iconic glides of Knoydart, such as Corrochie, becalmy and even Inchenarnish, take its stand, providing unforgettable walks throughout these moors alongside. One could have said its more challenging walk since waterways of different routes pass the shores and river to ensure an extraordinary visit the journey is truly full – an extraordinary place!
