Outdoor security light. Appears to have come apart in high winds. Probably been securely fastened for 20+ years. Problem is that where the split has occurred there's only about 5mm of overlap when the two sections are lined up properly. No sign of a locking mechanism or ability to screw it into place either. Have attempted using a gorilla adhesive but the light is so heavy it doesn't seem like that would hold it.
