I saw a reel once where a woman was like “was I the only one who didn’t know this?” She had an actual Lemon tree growing in her yard. Her friend asked why she was buying lemons when she had a tree. She didn’t know you could just eat the lemons off the tree. Like they had to be somehow processed before being sold in the store.

Finding out your backyard can grow certain plants without any extra effort of watering or fertilizer is kinda cool.

Sounds like tate just fell for the bait. “Watch this hack to never buy garlic again!” Probably even left a comment for the engagement.

Fucking “Hacks” need to die. The latest BK commercial calls some cheap food item a “hunger hack”. Bro, that’s just food. That’s what you do when you’re hungry.

Wait till they find out that the garlic needs time to grow so now they won’t have garlic until it’s ready, and then not at all in the winter unless they can plan ahead.

Don’t do this, it’s a great way to introduce pathogens, fungi, and other unpleasant lifeforms that can do real damage to your soil. If you want to grow yourself, buy cloves from a local organic grower or buy garlic starts from a reputable supplier.

I used to laugh at these people and then I learned last year that broccoli is not a naturally growing food in the wild.
It is a man made creation and I have felt enormous betrayal ever since.

I love gardening. It’s a great way to spend forty hours and hundreds of dollars to get a few meals worth of vegetables.

Garlic is one of the easier foods to grow, but it takes a little planning and a little work.
Beans are also easy to grow, especially bush beans (instead of pole). In my area of the country, stick bean in dirt at the right time and let nature handle it until harvest.

You should try planting mint in your backyard. You’ll never want to see mint again after that

Related question: has garlic been tasting weak as hell for anyone else recently? I know stores have been selling different jalapeño variants that aren’t as spicy so I’m wondering if that’s what’s happening here
