Let’s cut CEO and Insurance execs pay and redistribute that money to the nurses and CNAs who actually do all the work! Lets make healthcare high quality like the nordic countries. fuck the leeches at the top who sit in their cushy remote jobs working from their $10million dollar gated mansions while us regulars die from claim denials. Bring the protests to their gated country clubs PLEASE
We see you for what you are….

And absolutely nothing will come of it.
Occupy Wall Street 2011? *Citizens United* is still a thing.
Women’s March 2017, 2018, 2019? *Roe* is still gone.
Black Lives Matter / George Floyd protests 2020-21? Policing hasn’t changed in any meaningful way.
Protests against Israel-Palestine crisis / Hamas war 2021, 2023-24? U.S. still staunchly in support of Israel.
Standing around holding signs hasn’t changed shit since the ’70s.
If U.S. citizens want anything to actually change they need to take a page from the French protests- one way or another either things change for the better for the people or the people will burn it all down.
I’d be really careful protesting. The Right has shown that political violence is ok, as long as you’re gunning down protesters. Looking at you, Rittenhouse.

I am pretty sure those are the union strikers in front of various SF Hotels this past week, so while they might also be discussing healthcare plans, this is definitely not a healthcare specific protest!

This is not correct information. I live here, these are hotel workers on strike. They’ve been on strike for months especially around the Marriott chained hotels by Union Square.

What a strange way to say that.
Corporate healthcare insurance corruption is what is being protested .
They even soften the language to subtly change it.
The mainstream media is as corrupt . We all saw the what can only be called propaganda being used on any issue that doesn’t further the plutocratic agenda.

Ahhh, so that explains the Santa Cruz tornado injuring 6 people yesterday…. Hmmm…. You know, it’s just like the R’s to steal the D’s weather control technology and use it against them!
(In all seriousness though, I hope all those affected make a full recovery and aren’t denied insurance coverage! One person was critically injured and 5 other injuries, and 0 deaths were reported.)

Just got an explanation of benefits for a 20 minute med-check…swear to GAWD they billed our insurance $525….I did get a shingles vax for $300. So $225 for them to ask “how I’m doing” on drugs I’ve taken for 20 years.

Our right and left can agree without a doubt that these peaceful protesters are our real heroes. Thanks for standing up for those of us who are suffering!
Without non-violent shows of protest, all we will see is violent revenge–this is way better. Petitioning the government is better. With any luck, the petitioners will be recognized before any more bloodshed breaks out.

Wallstreet had protests. It’s just a matter of time before the news dies down. We have a right to protest. In the us, I have yet to yet to see a protest affecting any change. Taking time off work, not getting paid etc will always keep participation low. We need to learn from France.
