Every express I had in a Canadian hospital was pretty fast.
From what I remember, you only really wait if you aren’t in danger. Someone who is bleeding out has higher priority over Someone with a stomach virus.
This is dumb as shit. People needing life saving care get the care they need as soon as they need it. But yes, your fat aunt is gonna have to wait for that new knee. Especially since she won’t lose a few hundred pounds to save her other knee. In America you get the care and then spend the rest of your miserable life trying to pay that shit off. I’d rather pay an extra 10% in taxes and never have anyone have to worry about a medical bill ever again.
This is because we don’t regulate it federally and left it up to each province. Now conservatives underfund the shit out of it while talking about how great private healthcare would be.
