Southern Iceland, a region known for its rugged landscape and dramatic weather, has been experiencing a series of intense storms in recent weeks. The skies have been a deep grey, with low-hanging clouds that seem to stretch on forever, bringing with them strong gusts of wind and heavy precipitation. For the people of this small island nation, this has been a welcome respite from the endless sunlight and calm weather of the summer months.
