Yeah they are treating him likes he’s some villain mastermind that’s escaped from prison 6 time already. Remind us how you love rich people again ..

Can’t you see? The oligarchs are in charge of America and killing one of them is terrorism while mass shooters and the 1/6ers are not considered terrorists

The difference isn’t what you’re implying. It’s that there’s is practically zero chance that anyone sweeps in and tries to abduct the person who killed four college kids from police custody.
Meanwhile, there are people dressed up as Luigi from super Mario and protesting the US healthcare system. Luigi Mangione is a hero to a number of people across the country, and the possibility of a group of people trying to abduct him from police custody is much higher than zero.

I know people want to paint this as him being an enemy of the elite, but the fact is he’s probably the highest profile killer in America right now. High-profile prisoners don’t tend to live long, so the protection is necessary.

Minimal chance that somebody is going to try to break the murderer of 4 collage students out of custody. And I doubt the police would care too much I’f their was an attack on him.
Meanwhile the chances of somebody breaking Luigi out of custody grow by the day.

I think the extra police are there to protect other police because if it was just 1 dude there is no way he wouldn’t get rushed by a group trying to free luigi

I’m always going to play devil’s advocate on the short takes of this case, but the other guy didn’t have very vocal fans posting online about supporting murder while also gathering at courthouses to support.
Do they look silly? Yeah. Do I get why they’re being cautious? Also yeah.

He’s one of the biggest faces on the planet rn, anyone with that level of attention has that level of protection. The police aren’t there to detain him they are there to ensure his transport. The cuffs detain him. He’s more like precious cargo than a super villain.

There’s a reason for this. When someone kills a bunch of kids they don’t want to make them a big thing in the media. They don’t want people to know that if they kill children they can be recognized in the media all over the world. This is common sense and if you can’t figure this out you’re goddamn idiot

For anyone trying to justify this unnecessary theatrical performance by referring to the potential threats to this CEO killer and high-profile suspect, keep in mind that:
The mayor, an unarmed and untrained civilian, was there as well.
