Keep talking about it. Keep posting. Keep hanging posters and tagging bridges. Keep screaming at your representatives. Whatever action you can or dare to take, do it. If we let up now we’ll never scare them again.

It sucks that people will defend corporate cruelty until it happens to them personally. One of our many epidemics is lack of empathy.

Just thinking that assisted dying not being legal in the US might just be since people are most profitable close to death.

These millionaires and billionaires are killing us in plain sight and we’re letting them. Next, they will send us off to kill each other in a great “patriotic” war like they always have when the poors get too organized and too rowdy. We have to kill them off before they do it to us first.

Seriously. America is such a corrupt country, with all branches of government serving the rich and powerful. We should full on reconstitute.

This hits close to home. My aunt went through something similar with her insurance, it’s scary how they can just deny essential meds to vulnerable people. The whole “profits over patients” thing needs to stop, especially when we’re talking about elderly people with conditions like dementia. Really makes you wonder about how many other families are dealing with this same struggle.

I had to write a letter describing in detail, why my child needed physical therapy.
She’s disabled from birth. My letter wasn’t enough. Her pediatrician, physical therapist, and developmental pediatrician also had to write letters.
United only approved her for 12 visits. We had to pay $135 for every other visit.

My mom has this scratching itch too along with cancer, but she has better insurance. My 83 yo dad spends hours on the phone getting her meds and getting the insurance to pay—It is fucking ridiculous.

JFC that’s enough reddit today, man, that’s awful, Dementia is such a horrible disease, “The Long Goodbye” they call it.
My dear Uncle suffers from Dementia, and it’s hard seeing him become more and more incapable, he was a hunter, a carpenter and a good Uncle to all of my relatives.

Every time the insurance company (UHC) does shit I don’t like, I let my employer know. I’ve contacted the HR benefits department multiple times this year since we switched from Cigna to UHC. And I know I’m not the only one. The main HR benefits contact told me that she’s had more complaints this year than any other year she’s worked there. She filed so many complaints against our insurance broker who convinced our company to switch he got fired. We can’t do anything about 2025 but she said we’re definitely switching to someone else in 2026 even though they’ll be more expensive.

Perhaps we should try a fee market healthcare system wherein you could just buy anti-itch medication at a competitive price instead of relying on insurance.

If you’re owning a mansion or a yacht, or just hoarding hundreds of millions in your Cayman account while people go hungry or sick, you’re committing crimes against humanity and should be put on trial. The time of kleptocratic sociopaths fucking the world over has to end. That includes every single one of these fuckers, not only those in healthcare.
