Herbivorous animals, particularly ruminants (e.g., cows, sheep, deer), rely on grass primarily as a substrate to grow bacteria in their stomachs, which they then use as a source of nutrition.
grass acts as fuel for the bacteria, and the herbivore in turn uses the bacteria and their byproducts as its primary nutritional source. This symbiotic relationship allows herbivores to thrive on diets that would otherwise be indigestible.
so even cows uses other live creatures as food supply.

Most people that go vegetarian and such do so because they aren’t happy with the conditions farm animals are kept in, not so much that they’re being killed and eaten. If all farm animals were treated with a bit more respect, they’d care less, but I know it’s hard to provide everyone with the food they need as regularly as they need it without doing some shady shit. Hopefully we can find a way to work around that in the future, but as the population increases, it just becomes harder and harder to do so.

Some people eat meat. Some people don’t. As long as you’re not giving other people shit about their dietary choice, do as you please.
