Didn’t Epstein already get in trouble for bringing kids to his sexual wellness isle?

“Five years olds can read” but the age 50+ customers at my grocery store I manage can’t read a sign to save their fucking lives.

These people virtue signal HARD but they don’t act or vote for things that actually matter to kids — child care, healthcare, education, clean environment, affordable internet, or FUCKING GUN CONTROL!

Pharmacies are perfectly reasonable places to sell sex toys. They’re sold in mainstream health shops here, as well as supermarkets and Poundland. Nobody cares at all.

I suppose they could put up a beaded curtain like at the old vhs rental mom/pop stores. Or people could just chill out and accept or perhaps even celebrate sex

So, fun side story, for some godforsaken reason my local CVS has decided that aisle that functions as line for the pharmacy should also be the family planning and sex toy aisle, which is uncomfortable for everyone involved…

Aside from having to stand in line with Mrs Smith, 70 Year old grandmother of 6 from down the street next to a bunch of vibrators. Imagine actually wanting to buy a sex toy and having to go to the most perpetually crowded aisle in the store.

I agree, why are you taking your kids to that aisle?

I have to say that although this does seem weird to me, it doesn’t seem at all harmful.

Pharmacies have been selling condoms for a long time now, and no sane people were concerned for children’s wellbeing over that. The packaging has no explicit imagery, not text that is above the level considered acceptable for condom advertisements… so I don’t see the big deal.

To be fair about the aisle piece, at the pharmacy I got to that type of stuff is in the same aisle as the pads and pregnancy tests. So it’s not just that stuff. But also, no typical five year old is reading at that level yet… maybe they could get the word butt, that’s about it.

Having to drag my kids with me for condom shopping so we don’t have any more damn kids

I’d like to point out that the sexual wellness section of my local drug store is only one part of the aisle, is I think next to the kid’s wellness aisle, the toys are on the top of the shelf, and is on the way to the pharmacy counter. Also the toys are cheap crap and you’d be better off shopping at your local sex shop instead.

Sexual wellness should be a normal part of life and not a taboo subject.

5 year old can know what liquor is and watch adults have a healthy relationship with it without drinking or partaking.

Imagine taking the time out of your day to take photos and post for the world to see your gripes and complaints about items being for sale that you don’t agree with, but not taking the time to tell your 5 year old that can read that “when you are an adult there are adult things that feel pleasurable , and these items help those people feel pleasure”. Be an educator like you’re supposed to be , rather than an embarrassed liar who prefers your child not know the world.

The aisle isn’t isolated from the others, it is right out in the open with a large sign describing its purpose.

And kids are curious, their eyes wander.

However, being overly prude and reactionary to a natural behavior is just as damaging as over sexualizing everything.

Be a responsible and mature parent. But that has to be hard for irresponsible immature adults.

Looks like they’re even on the top shelf. Unless you’re carrying your 5 year old to deliberately see it….

When I used to live in Canada, this section was at the back of the pharmacy where I’d go to pick up my monthly prescriptions. I never saw anyone care about them being there.

How CVS or Walgreens is set up though, that section may be right next to basic healthcare. They have limited aisle space so it’s not like it’s on its own special location. One of the stores near me around school season put all the back to school items in the same aisle as the beer and wine. It was funny, but it shows how they organize those stores

Alright middle ground . Have them off in the way back corner kinda segregated , maybe with partitions . There now if you get offended it’s your dumb ass fault for meandering over there.

Personally I’m for having toys and stuff ( not condoms I think those need to be WIDELY available) in actual sex shops not for some hollyer than thou bullshit More so the smaller mom and pops can get a bit more business and traffick . I like having stuff like that in smaller specialized stores . Kinda the same thing with having guns in Walmart I wouldn’t buy them just because I prefer to give my money to local businesses that specialize in it .
