There has been a class war going on for a long time but only one side has been aware of it. As soon as someone on the other side realizes what’s happening the machinery jumps into high gear to tamp it down before it gains momentum.

Republicans have figured out that if they just ignore the hypocrisy, nobody has the energy to keep pursuing it in a media space that the wealthy oligarchs mostly own. I have no solution to this…by which I mean I *do* have a solution to this, but if I dare utter it, I’ll be arrested, because America is about freedom.

F the Right……. However this seems to deserve bi partisan blame. So if the right wants to continue to “own the libs” by calling everyone they are told not to like a terrorists, I can’t do anything about that. But I won’t blame Trump, the inability to “wield power” by the left is just as disgusting as the rights phony culture cult.

Terrorisme is the new scapegoat for all the violence that’s going on.. because if you call it terrorisme, more than half off the people will think they are immigrants or an illegal or something else. Keeps the people away from the real problems going on in the country.Painfull fact is that most Americans get killed by Americans, not terro or war..
The world is genuinely in a bad place now. As “we” got “smarter”, and technology gets more and more advanced, looks like “we” act more and more stupid.. But never forget, that all off the shit in the world, lays in the hand off a few!!

So I’ve been screaming this from the rooftops for days now.
But can someone explain to me how the NYPD releasing in a press release that anyone who showed anything other than contempt for Luigi Mangione is a terrorist/extremist, how is that not Jury intimidation?
LITERALLY how is it not Jury intimidation?
Because this is basically saying that if the Jury even thinks about ruling anything other than guilty, they could be considered extremists. And even if not, the fear of this is still present.
It also opens the door saying that during the Jury selection process that anyone who showed anything other than contempt towards Luigi is automatically biased based on extremist ideals, in essence stacking the Jury in the prosecution’s favor.
AND can someone tell me why Luigi’s Lawyers can’t argue this at every step and argue to have this case thrown out because of saying that and how it compromises the promise of a fair and just trial?

You dummies will still buy Teslas and think Elon is cool and will be so swayed by all the oligarch propaganda coming in 2025. You won’t even realize you’re being swayed by it because it will require you to have empathy for humans, especially poor people, which you will selectively decide to not have in each instance. It will happen here every day on Reddit.

She also said “you’re next” which to be fair, can be perceived as a threat. I don’t agree they should have charged her with a crime, but they left that part out.

The US veteran hospitals are the same way – you make a fuss and they’ll slap a label onto your file that means the police have to escort you to all your appointments (which are already really hard to get, the waitlists are insane no matter what the 30 day waitlist rule says lol)
My uncle made complained verbally because a nurse was being a bigot at him, when it turned out the surgeon really had forgotten a piece of surgical sponge in his spine. He got the label. (rip uncle Gene)
Meanwhile my cousin was sexually assaulted by another patient and the VA police did nothing when she complained- but they never gave her assaulter any label at all. The local police told her it’s a federal property so they can’t help her with the VA police too – and they warned her not to let the VA find out she was trying to get help from them, or the local news, or anybidy else coz the VA would slap her file with the label too.

The nice thing about this kind of draconian tyranny is that if you’re going to go for maximum punishment for minimum offense, there’s no reason to stop at just the minimum offense.

Well, you need to understand something: Briana is being charged in florida and brad is being handled by the feds.
The highbond is crazy, and the 15 years is also pretty crazy. However, she literally threatened to kill someone.
Brad, on the other hand, got busted for a weapons violation. The bombs were discovered when they raided the place. My wager is that the feds dont have enough evidence to say that he was actually planning something (which you need if you want to make terrorist charges stick).
The point is this: never compare cases in the US justice system. Every jurisdiction is different.

People are getting way too hung up on what people are being charged with and the bonds. Neither of these cases have gone to trail yet and they will have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that these people meet all the requirements of what they are charged with. As far as the bond goes, personally I think bonds are stupid and we should get rid of them all together. But they are there to prevent flight risks, and risks to the public. A lot of things go into determining how high to set a bond, and a cursory glance comparing the bond value of two very different cases in different states no less doesn’t mean anything at all. Like absolutely nothing, there no information I can glean comparing the bond value of these two cases.
Also, how is the VP not a member of the “oligarch” class? This really doesn’t fit the narrative of the post. As far as crime being a social construct…yes? Of course, that doesn’t mean crimes are not real or not valid or whatever is trying to be argued here. All law is a social construct, there is nothing in nature that says “this is legal” and “this is not”. That’s the whole point of laws that we as a society determine what behaviors we find are bad enough to allow the government to take away your rights if you commit them. This changes through time and between governments because it is in fact a social construct. A good, and very important social construct.
Are there two tiers of justice in this country for the rich vs the poor. Yes, to an extent, however, this does not confirm nor deny that claim. This reminds me of the game conservatives play. Even if the specifics facts of what Trump is saying is wrong they claim he is still “directionally right”. They may not be eating the cats and the dogs but I don’t like the immigration situation so I’ll forgive it because he is directionally correct. This is a slippery slope be careful out there.

I’m not happy she was charged, but I am really sick of posts like this that intentionally leave out half the words she said that got her arrested.
She said “delay, defend, depose. You’re next.” She would’ve been completely fine if she didn’t add the last part. The fact that half the people outraged about this are ignorant of the entirety of the FIVE word statement that got her arrested is insane.

Dude plows into new years celebrators with his car and the police kill him. They suspect he had help and put in a lot of effort to try to find who helped him. Yall don’t care about it because it doesn’t fit the narrative.
Ah yes, justice: where words are weapons and weapons are… suggestions?
Watch the legal eagle video on Luigi’s charges. He explains how what he did and what this woman did does not meet the legal standard for terrorism.
