If you can afford to buy a 750,000 dollar house, should you buy a 250,000 dollar one because it’s your first and you’re still learning?
I get it’s a joke, but I couldn’t care less about what equipment others have. If they can afford the nice stuff right off the bat, why not?
Why do people care what equipment others buy? I never understood why it’s frowned upon when someone new at the game buys expensive clubs.

I don’t mind those people one bit. They have the best deals on “only hit once” clubs when they give up.

If I know I’m going to be serious about a hobby, I’m inclined to get the best gear out the gate to avoid re-buying later. So I guess whatever slur you’d use here would apply to me.
