Imagine trying to explain this to someone in grayscale.

i am genuinely curious how much of this is fact or opinion

Quick googling told me that both white and black are shades of every color on visible spectrum.

If black isn’t a color because “it’s the absence of light” then I’m gonna start calling blue “The absence of all light that doesn’t have a wavelength of 450 – 500 nanometers”

What are vegetables outside of botany?

The matter of what is black/white isn’t light. We are talking apples and oranges here; two criteria, and completely different schools of thought

If black is a color, light black exists. And its darker than dark gray.

The absence of any fruit on a tree makes it a fruittree.

I mean if black isn’t a colour because of lack of light then maybe white isn’t a colour either because of the presence of light, and in the same way the ROYGBIV colors of scattered white light aren’t colours either since they originate from white light.
