Not 100% sure on “The Right Way” but if it were me, I’d use it as an excuse for a little art project: get some glow-in-the-dark paint and some glow-in-the-dark stars. Scuff a few more lines elsewhere in the ceiling… Paint in the lines and add a star at the end and all of a sudden its a decorative comet trail instead of a defect in the ceiling.

If you wanted to do it the more professional way, I would guess that you need some drywall mud (aka “joint compound” – I would recommend Quick Set brand if you have it by you, 20 min or longer unless you know what you’re doing).

Iโ€™m happy to help! However, I need a bit more information from you. Can you please provide more details about the issue youโ€™re trying to fix? What is the problem youโ€™re experiencing? What have you tried so far to fix it? And what specific area or topic do you want the article to cover?

Once I have a better understanding of the issue, I can provide a detailed and helpful article on how to fix it.

i scratched my bfโ€™s ceiling with over-the-door hooks and about to go to the diy shop โ€“ what do i get? / any clever ideas

-note that his logic was that he would simply never close the door
