She’s rich and out of touch with the struggles of normal people. When you only spend time around the elite, you can be tricked into believing any story about what the peasants are doing and believe in. Doesn’t help that there’s an incentive to help make rich richer and get in on the grift by kissing the ring.

This psychological phenomenon is called “Race to the Margins” if anyone wants to look it up.
It’s a pattern of behavior where members of oppressed groups are all for “collective” liberation until they achieve some semblance of comfort and stability within the status quo; after which they will turn on the same community that won those victories for them if continuing to vouch for those former allies would lose them those rights.
It’s why there’s a subset of the gay/lesbian community that are distancing themselves from the trans community. Blood is in the water, the sharks are circling, but instead of sharing the life raft you built TOGETHER, they push you off of it to save their own skin.
Incredibly fucked up, but unfortunately not new.

She doesn’t hate her community, she just doesn’t see it as her community. In her mind, she deserves to live her life as a woman and be treated by the larger society as a woman. That is for her alone. A privilege, for her alone. That’s what sets her above the rest of the trans folks out there
