Always remember, if your current gpu plays all your games at the fps, settings and resolution you want, there is absolutely no reason to upgrade. You don’t need the shiniest new thing.

I have just realised it will be 5 years of “gaming” on my GT1030 in August.

I just installed rvgl (re-volt). A game from 1999. Most demanding game I play is overwatch. Rx580 still going strong for me.

How is this a controversial take at all?

For me I’m good as long as I can play 1440p 60 fps. Doesn’t need to be the highest settings.

Still rocking my 1060 3GB! OSRS runs smooth asf.

I see everyone in pcmaster race having money trees in front of their house..

The problem is GPU prices for the last 4 years where so ridiculous most of us have no choice than to sit with old models

I used a 1080 for 8 years, I plan to use my 4080 super for just as long.

Ive had multiple people roast me for getting a 4090 with the 50 series around the corner. For the performance difference I have 0 regrets and ill be savouring a long time.

Still using my 2070S and it still does the job just fine for me.

Using a water-cooled 6900XT, got it as kind of last deal while 7000 was already out

i’ve been running with my GTX 1660 Ti for a fat minute now.

Well I use the frycking laptop version of GTX 1660 Ti and everything runs fine… If you think you NEED a 30 or a 40 gen to have a good time you’re just stupid.

Im lucky enough to have awesome friends who for some reason think i need to keep gaming with them, and came together to send a pc form halfway around the world (I’m in the US, they are in Australia). going from a 8600k with 16gb of ram and a 1080 to a 9700k with 64gb of ram and a 3070ti is a huge leap up. hopefully it will last for a few years, because i flat out do not have the money to upgrade. But yeah, my friends rock. love you guys.

Still running my 2070 super. Haven’t found a game I can’t run yet.

It’s not my GPU that’s the problem…it’s the 6th gen i7 I have

im still on rx 6800 xt and don’t find a need to upgrade at all…

Still gonna use my 1650 S, not gonna replace till it gives up.

It’s not controversial lol , people are just stewing in their own jealousy for something they don’t need

Still loving my RX6750XT

Runs a lot of games at 100+FPS on medium or high settings

Feels like a response to my post. Thanks for the advice 😅

I still have a 2060. One day hopefully I’ll upgrade to a better card

When has this ever been controversial lol

It is, currently typing this on a ATi GPU!

I’m still on a GTX 1060 6GB. I’m not really interested in any recent AAA titles, but I was bummed to hear it won’t run FF7 Rebirth.

I probably won’t get it until SE finally completes the series, so I’ll stick with my GPU for a couple more years maybe.

I had my 1060 for 8 years. Served me well.

Still on my 1070ti, since the only game I play that is recent/new is BG3 I think I’m good for the next couple of years.

So I don’t need to sell my 7800xt and my remaining kidney for the 5090?

My 1070 is doing just fine!

I still use my gtx 1660 super oc and i am not mad

My 1660 super says thank you

I got nine years out of my 670, the 2070 in my rig now has already given me four or five years

Man… I just want to play on my 4k monitor… Its so much clearer.

But games nowadays totally shit on optimization.

I mean yeah I’d rather a 3090 ti than a 4060. Let’s educate and not boil it down to comparing generations. These things aren’t phones

1080ti gang, be good till we roll into the 10080ti

1070 represent

Been using my 2080 super and 9700k combo for 5 years now and it still is able to take any game I throw at it, it’s going to be so sad the day they die 😭😭

rx 580 🗿🗿

is this new generation of GPUs that can actually play games with us in the room right now? All I see is AI this, RTX that, Crypto over there.

My GTX1080 is really starting to struggle these days 😅

Yall have too much money. That’s it😑

i have my trusty 12GB VRAM RTX 3060 that I don’t see replacing for the next 2 years at least. _knock on wood_.

Just don’t have a controversial GPU. 970? Fake VRAM. 3060? Fake frames.

I’m honestly thinking about upgrading within the next year.

Most of the gamers play on the old PCs, don’t worry and don’t let yourself be fooled with pictures of the high end gear – it’s rare.
