Oh my golly. I am not an American but I am currently in the midst of transitioning from academia to teaching middle school. Currently my countries education system is still intact but academic attacks in the U.S. is impacting academics globally. A colleague of mine was refused entry to the U.S. despite having previously worked and lived there, for a book release and other work related business. He was severely threatened and advised bot to cause waves. I suppose there is great truth to “knowledge has power” and the current U.S. government does not want anyone except for themselves to have power.
