I was born and raised on council estates and went to poor state schools and I look back at my youth fondly, were some good times.

British schoolchildren also didn’t have teachers paying for essential school supplies out of their own wages, or have a bunch of religious extremists trying to dictate what books could be read, or whether evolution and other basic scientific theories could be taught.
I don’t know but I feel I am certainly traumatised every time I am subjected to his views. I can’t get away from him no matter how hard I try. He is everywhere!

I’m American but I lived in London for two years when I was 11-12. The school system in the UK isn’t perfect (neither is the US but I’m from a state with a fantastic education system) but I felt safe. I never was in fear for my safety. My mom is a teacher and she also felt safe in the UK. I still worry for her and her students. I now go to Virginia Tech, the site of the third deadliest shooting in US history. Every year we have a memorial for the victims. It’s not fair they had their lives taken from them so young.
When I went to school that really wasn’t a fear either. Like yeah, it had happened- but it was nothing like this. If we don’t do something soon, Low birth rates are gonna take out half the kids, and guns are gonna take out the other half.
Not yet anyway. Keep those immigrants in your country and soon enough there’ll be some fanatics trying to please Allah or some shit.
