No one deserves this, I do wish they listened to us but end of the day fuck ICE. They gonna end up wrecking havoc in our communities trying to find a handful of bad apples.

And if you don’t have either a passport/birth certificate at home in an easy to find place, plus someone who can fetch them to you pronto, you are going to be there in lockup for a while.

I’ve cut off a number of people who have acknowledged that this administration will do horrible things but didn’t care because they felt the things wouldn’t be done to *them.* One guy was at our house talking about how the restrictions on female reproductive health will have no effect on him while his wife was shouting him down. Apparently she had a very difficult pregnancy and was at serious risk for part of it. Oh, and he has a young daughter.
We told them this was going to happen and to vote for Kamala Harris.
But no, I know all of my friends on Facebook, all of whom are Black, tried to say “She was supporting genocide!” as justification for sitting this last election out or voting for Donald Trump.
Now and for the next four years, we’re going to be dealing with the consequences.

I was born in Germany on a military base. My birth certificate says “Consular Report of Birth Abroad” and my passport has my birthplace in Germany. I’m confused why the “alphabet people” are included in this. But either way, people are extremely naive if they think all of this isn’t going to affect them at some point. Like they are getting rid of migrant workers so that their jobs can become “black jobs”.
When these people say they’re looking out for “americans” they just mean white. They assume non-white people are illegal.
Trump tried to come after the 14th Amendment and black Americans on twitter were like “Not our problem, he’s just trying to get these illegals out.”
Um…do people even know how important the 14th Amendment is to black people and to all other non-white groups including Native Americans? It literally granted citizenship to freed slaves, and native Americans. Segregation being stuck down was based on the 14th amendment.
