Had an interview finally today, I hope it goes well
After many interviews, 4 months of waiting and spending almost all of my money I have got a mail with contract details and expected pay. I was so thrilled.
2 days ago I’ve recieved yet another mail. Some motherfucker in the US decided that their company, in fact does not need to hire anyone at the moment soooo….

Last year I was unemployed for 2 months, I sent 97 applications out, got 2 responses, both rejections but one had the gall to ask if I knew anyone else that would be interested in the job.
A few days later I just bumped into someone who needed some part time employees, as of next month I will have been there a year.

I feel that so bad. I got my last job on the first try- literally first job I sent an application to, they replied next day, went through the interview, got hired. It was my first job in a new country I just moved to. I think it gave me a wrong first impression of the job market here.
Got made redundant months ago cause the company is only hiring from cheaper countries now. I’ve been applying and applying, and the most I get are either AI-written rejections or attempts to scam me.
Having a interview and having it go really well only to be rejected stings the most, but it did make it easier to talk in the proceeding interview

Honestly it’s long road but my advice is to update CV, ask recommendation. Look up YT how to make good impression for job interview.
The world is competive and you’ll just have to do your best to fight through every moment of it. Thanks to that I finally landed on job that I truly like and feel more or less settled.
