brushed curls look better than unbrushed curls. some people like the way unbrushed curls look but most girls find them prettier brushed out. that’s rly all there is to it
The one on the right is, by contemporary standards, trashier than the one on the left. But in a way that’s relatively subtle and, according to this person, might not be 100% picked up on by most men. As a particularly clueless male, I can’t believe I’m the one explaining this.
So it’s basically calling the second girl trashy because after you curl your hair, you’re supposed to brush it out for a more natural look.
Hardly anyone would notice or care, but it matters to the girl getting cheated on.

I’m a guy. And the only reason I get this is because this gets posted so often.
Both pictures are (presumably) the same girl, just with her hair styled in slightly different ways.
So then the implication is that the girl “he” cheats with isn’t any better or worse than his girlfriend: she just has slightly different hair, and so he’s ruined the relationship and hurt his girlfriend purely for the sake of novelty.
The curls on the right are kind of how you do it when you’re in middle school. It’s bad technique and looks like a doll more than the natural waves most people are going for. Hell if I know how to achieve that left side look.

Not sure it’s necessarily that the 2nd picture is trashier as other comments have said.
The first picture/original girlfriend has a finished hairdo. The 2nd picture/new girlfriend has just curled her hair but didn’t finish the look.
Therefore the guy is choosing to cheat with a bad copy of his girlfriend.
Why is the energy of those kind of posts “men can’t understand XYZ beauty standards” always in a tone of superiority like it actually matters in the grand scale of things. When the time comes when the sink is leaky, you won’t GAF about if he memorized all 17 perfumes you got from Sephora or not because it literally has no real world value to care about the beauty industry. It exists solely to make money off of materialistic and shallow thinkers and I’m sick and tired of pretending like it doesn’t.
Think it a joke that some guys cheat with a carbon copy of the girl they are currently seeing. I ve actually seen it happen several times. like the GF could look like the side chick’s sister.
Boys really out here thinking it’s all about the face, but it’s the hair that wins the game.
I remember the hair stylist who took the pics explaining it back then. Basically left girl has a more finished look, right girl has a more “immature” look with curls not being brushed out. Kinda like prom hair.

Pretty sure the joke is that the two girls are the same only slight difference. The boyfriend is cheating with a girl who is no better/different than the girlfriend and doesn’t see that they are the same. I think?

I think the idea is that: Despite the girl doing her hair well (brushed) the guys still preferred the poorer version (unbrushed). It‘s meant to make fun of guy’s poor judgment when cheating on a girl.
Ironically we guys can say the same thing when the girl cheats on her BF who has a job for an ex-convict/badass guy.
I think there’s not much difference and a cheater will cheat regardless of differences or similarities, details are just an excuse.
Guys I figured it out. The girlfriend has multiple personalities and thinks your out cheating. When she brushes her hair she turns into “Janet” 🫡

I thought the joke was more, guys will still cheat even if the new girl looks pretty much the same (kinda like, why would you need X, we have X at home, but in this joke the at home is the better option)
