Double edge sword sometimes though…. I wish a certain age group would learn not to stand in the middle of an aisle way. XD

You avoid the idiots, but instead get rude old people who just stop in areas where people are meant to move through. Like step to the fucking side if you have a hold up.
Pretty good metaphor for how America is being ran right now actually.

Also sometimes I do errands late to avoid crowds. I frequently do groceries an hour before closing and the store is blissfully empty.

You avoid most traffic but ALSO if you get everything done early enough itโs like you gain a second day, get back home by like 9:30-10am, make some coffee, and the sit down and watch tv, do some sketching, play some video games, after lunch maybe do another task or chore and feel ultra accomplished.

Here where i live it’s mostly the old people who are the rude idiots.
I always go late in the day, like before rush hour or after. This is the quietest time here.
But i live in a small town in germany, so this is just my experience.

I started doing this by coincidence because of my work schedule years ago. I found the absence of crowds and stress particularly agreeable.

I NEED to get to the grocery store right when they open. I can be in and out in less than 10 minutes. When the idiots arrive I could be in LINE for 15 minutes

I live in a generally young city so mornings are simply much less populated. Demographic changes aside thereโs just so much less demand for all the things.

Get to Costco right at 10 on a Wednesday and still somehow greeted with a full warehouse. Still better than midday on a weekend

I’ve done this (errands early) my entire life, and now I’m old and it’s getting harder and harder to get out early, and easier and easier to tell the idiots what I think about them. I think I need to start saving up for the bail I’ll inevitably need.

Historically the opposite is true for me. No one is buying groceries on a friday or saturday night.
