nothing good is going to happen when you delete a whole species. Would be better if you just made them not to bite people and that’s it

*Sucks teeth* Ya, sorry, bud. You just removed a key species from just about every eco system. Without mosquitoes, there is nothing to help keep other still water dwelling bugs in line spreading diseases like crazy. Did you know most mosquitoes couldn’t even bite humans? Just a single species, well an offshoot of a species anyway most mosquitoes are actually hunters for other insects. So, no more mosquitoes, but you might wanna use a wish for a suit of bug proof armor because things are really bad outside right now, and many other mammals, including cows, are dead.
Look, I hate mosquitoes as much as anyone else, but they can’t go extinct. Their massive population and relative ease of hunting by other creatures makes them a pivotal part of the food chain. If they go extinct, everything collapses.
Alternative wish: Make Malaria go extinct instead.
Poor Alaska, it’s their only pollinator, I would guess it’s probably the same for northern Canada as well but don’t know for sure.
Mosquitos are the worst. The history of existence is extinction. I say let them go
