Microwaves accelerate water molecules, heating the food containing it. More water = faster, less water = slower. That’s why different items heat at different rates. Also why they say you shouldn’t really heat water in a microwave.

It has to do with water. If there is more water in a food, it heats up more in a microwave.

Depending on the microwave 1:30 seconds should be enough. 1:00 then flip meatloaf, stir potatoes and corn. Then finish it for the 30 seconds. Corn might still be outrageously hot but everything else should be good.
