I need the context of the video, cinnamon is actually great at balancing out the flavors of tomato among other things. It’s not just a dessert spice like most people apparently think. Similar to nutmeg in the bechamel for your macaroni.

The comment is funny, but cinnamon is a common spice in the middle east/north africa in savoury dishes so I don’t think its good to assume it’s a bad dish.
I use some cinnamon as a north african in dishes and people love it, it’s more about not over doing it but a pinch elevates dishes.
Edit: reading the comments there is a cinnamon roll under the chili, yeah thats disgusting lmao nothing to do with what I said.

I’d like to focus on the topic at hand and say a tiny, tiny bit of cinnamon in a chili recipe can be fire; it’s just too easy to overpower. We’re talking like eighth or quarter of a teaspoon here.
