Discrediting political opponents through deceit. That’s another check in the “they are literally doing the exact same thing the nazis did” list.

The Democrats just voted to not raise the deficit by $4 trillion. That’s what the Demos voted no for. BTW, One RepubliCANT also voted no to raising the deficit $4 trillion dollars.

Political people do this all the time where there is a bill called “Save the Puppies” then you attack your opponent for voting against it. Leaving out, of course, the bill does a ton of other things like cut down every tree in the national parks, but clearly voting against the bill means you hate puppies.

If they actually cared about lowering your tax bill, they would just lower your tax bill. Instead, they introduced a loophole that lets hedge fund managers take their entire salary in overtime while you chud over the extra 12 dollars you made in overtime tax savings while the rest of your paycheck is taxes 100 bucks more

No tax on tips is fine in theory but it seems like it would create a massive loophole for rich people to exploit.
No tax on overtime doesn’t make sense to me. Why shouldn’t overtime be taxed like normal? Is it just a general sense that ‘hardworking’ people shouldn’t be taxed? Because I feel like if you start going down that route, there will end up being no taxes on much of anything and then we won’t be able to fund any of the things that tax dollars are used for.

Please God keep taxes on tips. Without it your just gonna have billionaires pay their friend and their friend will “tip” them the money back (tax evasion)

Either way, tips shouldn’t exist, and income tax is good actually. (Talking inside this capitalist system which also shouldn’t exist)

I don’t understand why everyone seems to support no tax on tips anyway. Most people hate tipping culture. Why should we incentivize it further? Why should tipped employees pay a lower tax rate?

My first guess was to assume they were part of another bullshit omnibus bill filled with mostly draconian shit the opposite team doesn’t want, only for the side that made the bill to say “THEY VOTED AGAINST BIPARTISAN GOOD THING THAT EVERYBODY WANTS BECAUSE OF TEAM SPORTS!!!”
This is hilariously even dumber than that.

I know this is an aside here, but I can’t be the only one who is just annoyed as hell at everyone putting the word BREAKING next to any news post anymore. Like it adds…. anything. It feels like one of those ways someone outs themselves as lacking intelligence.

There’s already no tax on tips.
And by that I mean don’t report the cash tips.

Oh, they weren’t even in the bill.
First I heard about it, my understanding was that they voted against the bill because it included massive tax cuts for the rich and a gutting of social spending.

I hate that guy so much… his stupid face… just always pure unadulterated lies from that fucker. And what are the sheep gonna do… open the resolution and read it… no fucking way.. and their textual budget proposal itself reads like a ambiguous love note to maga. With wonderful little and huge easter eggs of funneling wealth to the wealthy… one of my favorite parts (🤢) is where they cut funding for SSI ( social security) funding for:
1. Little or no income, and
2. Little or no resources, and
3. A disability, blindness, or are age 65 or older.
And propose to pressure states to get these payees back into the work force… while the budget also totes a complete assault on DEI in the government and outside the government… which results in workplaces being that much less equipt to accommodate these potential workers.
But at least black people arnt represented in the media or government…
