Love love love their ice cream. Marionberry Pie 🤤

There’s a cheese called “fall day”?

One of my most favorite road trips I’ve ever taken took me right through Tillamook. Absolutely breathtaking part of the country

There’s no such place as Tillamook National Forest. There is, however, a [Tillamook State Forest](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tillamook_State_Forest).

Gorgeous area. The Willy wonka cheese and ice cream factory is also amazing. It oddly reminds me of the Guinness brewery in Dublin.

Tillamook area was always the choice when it came time for mushroom pickin! And we’d always stop for ice-cream! 😀 😀

I love that whole area. Beautiful!

It’s not just “like” the cheese; the dairy is based in the area.

God I’m so happy I live in this state.

Take a side trip to the cheese plant – just sayin’

It’s beautiful.

Stunning view. I need to plan a trip to Oregon!!!

Super quaint little hotel overlooking the ocean in Netarts. Not even expensive when I was there a few years ago. Incredible to wake up and walk right down to the ocean with nobody else but a few Filipino families collecting oysters at a misty dawn’s low tide.

Beautiful capture! The colors of fall really make the Tillamook National Forest come alive.

The picture is beautiful and the name makes me hungry.

I’d never leave

Nice view

I want cheese

So many great spots to stop and unwind or hike!

Just did the drive there and back from Beaverton today. Most of the trees have dropped their leaves but there was still lots of fall colors to see. The beach was sunny too!

I need to get back up in the mountains this fall 🏔️

Title: A Golden Glowing Day in Tillamook National Forest: Exploring the Beauty of Oregon’s Fall Season

As the crisp autumn air sweeps through the Tillamook National Forest, the lush green canopies of summer surrender to a kaleidoscope of colors, painting the landscape with warm hues of gold, orange, and red. On a typical fall day, the 360,000-acre forest transforms into a nature enthusiast’s paradise, inviting outdoor enthusiasts to immerse themselves in its rustic charm.

As the sun rises over the coastal mountains, a golden glow begins to creep over the treetops, illuminating the forest floor. The scent of ripe berries and damp earth mingles with the crisp morning air, beckoning adventure-seekers to lace up their hiking boots and set out to explore the Tillamook’s vast network of trails.

The South Fork of the Nehalem River, which winds its way through the forest, provides a serene soundtrack, its gentle gurgling punctuated by the sweet songs of migratory birds. The forest floor, blanketed with a tapestry of ferns, wildflowers, and underbrush, invites curious eyes to discover hidden clearings, ancient stumps, and moss-covered rocks, each telling a story of the forest’s rich history.

As the day unfolds, the forest’s color palette intensifies, with the warm light of autumn casting long shadows across the landscape. Hikers and wildlife alike take advantage of the comfortable temperatures, ranging from the mid-50s to mid-60s (13°C to 18°C), making for an ideal day of exploring.

One of the many trails to choose from in the Tillamook is the popular Kings Mountain Trail, which offers stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape, as well as the option to explore the ancient Douglas fir forests that dot the forest floor. Alternatively, the Elk Mountain Trail offers a more challenging ascent to the highest point in the forest, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

As the day wanes, the sun begins to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the forest. A perfect spot to take a moment to pause and absorb the beauty of the moment is the picturesque Elkins Campground, nestled in a valley surrounded by towering trees and a babbling brook. As darkness falls, the stars twinkle like diamonds against the darkening sky, punctuating the silence of the forest.

As the fall season in the Tillamook National Forest comes to a close, outdoor enthusiasts are reminded to respect this fragile ecosystem, ensuring the forest’s natural beauty and wildlife habitats remain preserved for generations to come.

As the saying goes, "Tillamook County’s famous cheese is known for its creamy texture, but it’s the rugged beauty of its national forest that’s truly the best thing since sliced bread!" Come experience the magic of Oregon’s fall season in the Tillamook National Forest for yourself.
