Better than a spray-painted swastika no?
PSA: this person did the right thing by folding the paper so the ink is on the inside. I remember some idiot leaving a flyer on my car once and the morning dew transferred the image onto my windshield. Didn’t come off for years.

I wouldn’t want to be a Tesla owner right now. Hard to fault anyone for buying before elon went political, but that’s not going to stop someone from keying your car instead of leaving a note for the next couple years.
Was it under a single, massive, inefficient windshield wiper? At least it wasn’t a swastika. Maybe invest in one of those magnetic “I bought it before we knew he was like this” stickers?
Well, in order to sell it, someone would have to buy it so what difference would it make?
I would hate to be a Tesla owner right now. I’m also guessing they’re hard to sell at this point, so that sorta sucks logistically. But this is a very non violent way of advocating and I’m here for it.

Saw one of these in bumper sticker form on a Tesla in Brookline the other day. Someone (I assume the owner) had tried to peel it off so I couldn’t read the words but the salute image was still there clear as day…

I mean there is no damage to your vehicle and Musk is a Nazi sympathizer destroying the government despite never winning an election. I don’t see how this is any more or less annoying than a million things I’ve had put on my windshield in Cambridge.
As a pretty left-wing person, infighting like this among liberals is poison. And yes, most Tesla owners are liberal. Not to mention, selling your car would do literally nothing (someone else would have to buy, plus once you own the car there is very little to no money flowing to Tesla). Not buying the cars in the future would make sense, but telling people to sell them is such a brain dead take.
It’s funny how people in here are actually parroting the “how much money could you lose selling one car…$10?” Like that’s actually how out of touch people in this state are with eachother.

Hey it’s better than spray paint or stickers. I feel for the people who bought tesla cars because they wanted an energy efficient car before all the chaos with Elon ensued. Don’t feel for the people who spent $100,000 on a traveling dumpster fire who knew what Elon is all about.

There’s so many people here saying OP should, but no one saying what that would actually accomplish. Tesla has the money already. There’s enough chargers around to not need to use the Tesla-owned ones, and even if that weren’t true, *someone else* will now own it. Should people just play hot potato with Teslas?
If only fascists are willing to buy Teslas now, wouldn’t this just mean selling deeply discounted cars to fascists? That hardly seems like a win

A friend of mine has a Tesla (not cybertruck) which he bought before he understood how awful Musk is. He’s been trying to sell it for at least a year now. Deeply regrets his purchase.

I get it for new cars but for most drivers they purchased their vehicles before 2024. Harassing normal drivers doesn’t play well.

To all the people demanding than individuals sell their Teslas: this is an incredibly privileged view point. Teslas have been around for over 20 years!!! Being in a position to have to sell/ buy a car right now is not ideal. Interest rates, car sales etc are super high. It’s simply not that easy. It is akin to telling someone that “if they don’t like it here, leave.”
Check yourselves, you sound ridiculous. Also, for someone to sell a car, someone else has to BUY it.

I can’t stand the guy either, but random innocent people who happen to own a Tesla are not to blame. People should direct their frustrations elsewhere.
We’re finding out in real time why it’s not a good idea for business owners to get involved in politics, especially if they sell directly to consumers. And even stupider to sell a product that’s politically coded to begin with AND politically attack your typical customer.
Musk can either go back to his companies or divest from his businesses and fully dedicate his time to whatever he thinks he’s accomplishing in government. He can’t have it both ways.

Might be good advice. The market for these cars is evaporating rapidly because of the nazi at the helm. Tesla’s popularity started off as the “hey look at me, I’m helping” car. Now it’s the “hey look at me, I helped a nazi get rich and take over america” car.
It’s not your fault we get it. But the company of Tesla has been linked to Elon Musk and whatever ideology he was spewing. It used to be saving the planet and advancing tech. Now it isn’t that. So when the product you buy is synonymous with a personality, it kinda lives and dies by that personality’s perception.
Do they think that an individual selling their car does anything to Musk?

Seriously, how does selling a car you already paid for going to hurt Tesla? They already have your money. Don’t these people have critical thinking skills?
I do feel bad for Tesla owners who aren’t in a financial position to dump their cars for another, and I try to not judge people driving normal teslas…. BUT, a cybertruck owner? They absolutely deserve the hate. We all knew how big of an ass Elon was by that point and those people knew exactly what they were doing buying one.
The reason a lot of my friends purchased a Tesla was due to the cost savings and avoiding having to negotiate with dealership salesman.
I believe it was close to $14k in savings for the Model Y this past Summer. $7k Federal, $3k State, $4k Manufacturer discount. At this price, it was hard to turn it down.

Trade it in if for a non-Nazi brand you’re financially well-off enough to do so. No ill will towards you if you’re not. I think the people vandalizing Teslas are absolutely nutcase criminals, but this flyer is harmless.
