The worst part is that there isn’t even a………subtlety or a nuance to the outrage. These anti-woke screechers have really become the parody of themselves (like this comic).
There’s no better demonstration of this than the GTA 6 trailer. We know NOTHING about Lucia (what she’s all about) and if anything, she actually looks like something these chuds would actually LIKE, considering she’s quite attractive. But their brains are so hardwired to associate “woman not being a living sex doll and personal mom = WOKE!!!”

White female protagonist fine. Asian female protagonist definitely fine. Hispanic female protagonist sometimes fine. Black female or even half black female protagonist….the workd is falling apart.
It must be so exhausting being this frightened of black people, women and LGBTQ+. These are the same kinds of people who make fun of pronouns and DEI, but desperately need to know if a game is safe for them to play without fear of getting upset. They are the very definition of ‘snowflake’. I see more right-wing folk getting triggered than my other demographic. The irony is palpable.
Edit: To add to this. The term ‘woke’. When someone criticizes something as “woke,” they’re not actually engaging with its content. they’re just signaling that they don’t like diversity, inclusion, or any modern social values. I.e. I see it as a dogwhistle for them being racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic. Etc.
That’s literally how they are.
