I’m an Albertan oilfield hick who goes to yoga as part of a sober living plan. I over heard 2 conversations this week. One went from a debate on which is better – the f350 or the gmc 3500 and segued into not going to USA for holiday. The other went from a debate on which magic healing crystal is better for PMS and segued into not going to USA for holiday. Elbows up.

I am trying to support you folks and your country by buying some Canadian things whenever possible. I wish I had the option to move to Canada, But Sadly that is not an option for me.
As someone who frequents an airport in Alberta that has a US customs pre-clearance, I do feel like there are a lot less crowds at the security lines.
Purely an observation over long period of dates/times, but interesting to see
As an American living in Las Vegas, we rely on tourism. That being said, I totally support you all. The people in charge here are insane and you are 10000% right to boycott the hell out of us. I hope one day we can work together again in peace but please keep the pain coming. It’s the only thing the rich care about and they are running the show.

I don’t want to burst your bubble… but this is very typical for late morning/early afternoon at Pearson. Most US bound flights depart very early in the morning, there are very few US departures between 09:00 – 12:30 at Terminal 1.
Also, a lot of people (especially leisure travellers) booked their trip in advance and are not cancelling due to unable to get a refund.
We likely won’t see the full effect until later this year into next spring.

Can Americans add to this? As an American I think we all should start vacationing in Canada and spending our holiday cash up north.

I was visiting my best friend back in the homeland in Northern Ontario. I drove back to NYS today and not a Canadian license plate at the duty-free, nor while crossing the bridge in Lewiston

We just canceled a $16k week in south Carolina in August.
Rented a cottage in Quebec instead.
I seen a post on social media today that Disney was offering discounts to any Canadian wanting to come visit. Most comments were of the effect that we won’t be coming until orange man is out of office. Our efforts are being noticed by the big campaign donors. Not much longer I would imagine.
