I use a browser plugin called “Dark Reader” and it has served me well for years now. It automatically makes everything dark mode without any compromise.
And yes sometimes websites look buggy, but then you can just disable the plugin temporarily and the website just becomes normal again…. and bright…. very bright.

been there.. but I’ve used Light mode most before switching to dark mode when I started using a Laptop so… I’m not bothered by the flash
