When I was younger I devoted myself to my career and making it to the middle class or upper middle class. I woke up after a while and realized that sure, I was “successful” but I was still miserable and depressed. I gave up on being in any sort of a leadership position like a manager, because all it was was more headache, more drama, more responsibility, more time at work. I want to be the lowest man on the totem pole now. You need a committed worker to come in on their day off? Look elsewhere, it ain’t me.
I now work a cushy security gig where I can basically sit on my ass all night watching Netflix and then go home to my wife.

Finding a life partner whom you can share the grind with has been the recipe for success of many.
