Kevin Hart for the most part. Just always plays a loud and angry little person . Only thing I saw him actually have range in was fight night.

More zero range but Jason Statham. Don’t get me wrong, love some of his films but he is always just Statham

Dakota Johnson. Nepo baby. Untalented. Keeps getting screen jobs. And, then smug when her movies get deserved bad reviews.

Most movie stars are not great actors, but have a lot of charisma. They are usually just playing themselves in movies and don’t exhibit a whole lot of range, but still continue to be box office draws. Not everyone is Daniel Day Louis or Meryl Streep.

Can someone convince me Dakota Johnson doesn’t completely suck? I was loving the madame web hate that she tried deflecting.

This sub has this weird fascination with range.
Most actors have extremely limited practical range.
Yeah they can step in and read lines across a wide variety of parts, but they have type and tend to get most of their work playing to type.
There’s nothing wrong with any of this. It doesn’t make them bad actors. It usually means there’s something physically distinct about them that only makes them believable in a rather narrow range of roles [edit or they have a strong brand they want to protect].
The actors that can truly play a wide range of characters at a high level are extremely rare and should be celebrated for their unique talents, but that doesn’t make the other actors bad.

Ryan Reynolds and Rock “The Dwayne” Johnson both have charm. Neither can really act and the films they are in are essentially their character superimposed into a story.
On Deadpool it worked, Blade Trinity much less so. In most cases you know exactly what you’re are getting when they are the lead. They are the definition of entertainment actors, which is fine for what it is.
Gal sadly just cannot act to save her life as isn’t really entertaining or charming, she is very beautiful and that seems to be it.
