I don’t think I’ve ever seen a passenger jet rolled over with the wings completely ripped off before, that is absolutely terrifying.  I sincerely hope the passengers are ok.

Pearson airport says all passengers are accounted for, no report on possible casualties yet.

Jeez, what a shitty year for aviation, and we are only in February…

As someone sitting on a plane currently, I could have gone without seeing that lol

I am at Pearson. All flights are halted at this time. Reportedly 8 passengers injured but no deaths. No other details at this time. Was a Delta flight from Minneapolis with ~80 passengers.

Edit: they are now reporting three critical injuries – a pediatric patient, woman in her 40s, and man in his 60s were airlifted to hospital.

All I can ask is HOW. This has to be a mix of runway conditions and pilot error, no?

I gotta think that’s a runway excursion but somehow snapped off a wing and wound up upside down? It has to have happened at low speeds or else it would be much worse

As a Midwesterner, my desire to drive has only increased.

I wonder how long it’ll take before DEI practices get blamed.

Canada needs to start banning flights from these lesser countries without proper safety protocols in place. It’s a danger to have them in our airports.

The fact that it flipped upside-down, breaking off the wings, and remained intact is both terrifying and a testament to the safety of the fuselage.

>The FAA says all 80 people on board Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, were evacuated. CBS News has confirmed that there are injuries. Some have been transported to hospital, though it’s unclear how many were injured or hospitalized, and the nature of the injuries are unknown.

>The FAA says the investigation will be led by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.

Opens reddit, first post is a casually inverted Delta plane. The internet in a nutshell.

P.S. What the fuck is it with US aviation in 2025

Can’t park there

With the plane upside down, how did they get off? I’m visualizing that little inflated slide going…nowhere.

I’m really glad people are ok.

What’s that saying .. Any landing you can walk away from is a good one?

I did not have “planes falling from the skies” on my 2025 bingo card.

My trip started before Trump was president and I flew back this past weekend. Needless to say watching the news from abroad I was terrified to fly back.

Can’t wait for my flight next month

Plane is tired, plane wants to sleep.

Reddit told me before Citizen app wow

Omgosh!!! Pls hope the passengers and flight crew are ok

I don’t want to fly anymore

Trump promised more plane crashes
“Promise stated, promise granted”

If I ever in a crash as a passenger I hope it’s somewhere warm.

If you want people to stay in your country to continue making babies for your workforce, you instill the literal fear of death in them to get on an airplane while angering the two bordering countries to the point that they ban American entry.

Yea, looking at that fine blowing snow across cold ass asphalt. Black ice is a different kind of beast.

Anybody else asks themselves what the hell is up with all these airplane accidents recenlty? it’s almost like there’s a plane crash or incident almost every day since the new year began.

Damn, luckily the plane held up that well. Must not have been fun being left sitting upside down in there.

Im going to go ahead and sail back to Europe this spring.

because i was inverted

Good reminder to always dress for the coldest weather you’re experiencing while flying. I say this as an Alaskan who flies direct to Hawaii. It sucks wearing jackets, long pants, closed-toed shoes, but when emergencies happen, you’re usually left in the weather.

I flew out of Pearson airport at 9am this morning. This terrifies me for my flight home…

My aviation best guess: Pilot experienced sudden or stronger crosswinds upon landing attempt and touched down one of the gears at angle or unevenly (likely right side based on wing bend) causing gear collapse/failure on that side and planes nose to tip that side as wing snapped off. The result at higher speed would be the plane flipping upright as tail and other wing both break and slow the speed of the vehicle via friction.

An otherwise better and safer landing than S. Korea recently

Can Trump blame it on DEI if it crashed in Canada?

I live a few miles from the airport. It’s pretty windy right now with gusts up to 45KPH – 25MPH

I’m flying more this year than I have in almost a decade.

This sucks

Is America great again yet?

The frequency of aviation crash incidents recently seems way out of whack.

Welp, after all the recent crashes, I guess I’m never flying again 😬

The official statement from the Trump administration is now in
