Posts like “Should I upgrade my 3070, I heard it’s obsolete and bottlenecking me and 8GB of VRAM isn’t enough” drive me up the wall. Just use your fucking PC people.

what the FUCK is a GTX 3950????????????

My Gpu so bad, it isn’t even on this list.

This is THE Reason I still use older hardware, it does everything I need pretty well but my most demanding game (BeamNG) struggles just a lil, no reason to upgrade if it does everything you need it to do

Should you upgrade? More like; if you have spare money, consider those. Remember, you do not need it, you just want it.

So what you are saying is I am a green light for a 5090

Not applicable, i own Radeon.

1080ti til I die

I upgraded from 8gb vram to a 16gb card and so far i never used more than 8 in the games i play 😀

Future-proofing i guess 😀

What if I use an AMD graphics card? 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m on a 2070s and while I’m looking for a GPU to upgrade to I am not in a rush either, when I find an incredible bargain I will jump on it.

Until then I am quite happy playing games as I am at 1440p, chuck a couple of settings on medium, DLSS quality / balanced on certain games and don’t go anywhere near that RT option and I’m fine, solid 60

Upgraded from 1650 to 7900 gre.

Holy mother of gods, does it feel wonderful to run some newer games.

Can you please do it for AMD gpus also?

>GTX 3950

Nvidia accidentaly copying from AMD’s naming scheme.. well, the former one, that is.

even though I don’t think I need anything more than the RX 590 I have, I just like upgrading.

3080 not on the list, guess it’s time to upgrade

Or if your GPU falls below the minimum spec for a new game you have purchased.

Yeah you might be able to still run it, but the experience will be heavily diminished.

or when you want to and you’re sure you have the disposable income to afford a upgrade

100%, as someone who is totally happy playing at 1080p-144Hz, upgrading my 5700XT seems pointless.

Having a 1080 and going to a 1440p monitor. I’m finding my fav games work fine at 1440p. Follow OPs advice.

Pin this mf on the sub rn

A list can tell you your budget and needs? This list applies to homeless and millionaires? First time builders and enthusiasts? There are only 2 questions you need to ask yourself: 1. Are you happy with how ur PC is performing and 2. what’s your budget (if any). Everything else is BS of people wanting others to take the responsibility of their purchases.

What’s the original?

Ye. I just ordered every pat for my new pc cause my 1050ti isnt able to run my favs games too well

I have a 960. What to do?

I’m still rocking my 1060 6GB since 2018. Works like a charm.

My graphics card is not even on the list (gtm850). I think I’ll wait a little longer.

Man my 970 is still running, not well, but still running for now.
