Chicken biriyani fire AF! So jealous
It’s Ramadan. They are fasting between sunrise and sunset. Iftar is the breaking of the fast and they’re probably cooking big, awesome meals. If you’d like to do something nice, buy them some dates and bottles of water.
I’m no expert, just my experience with Muslim friends.

That is biryani it’s good food
They know how to cook, too! My spouse’s parents know a lot of Muslim people, and we’ve been to their houses before, and they’ve cooked veritable feasts. My favorite thing is their special flat bread. It’s so damn good!
This makes me want to go visit the local Middle Eastern restaurant soon. I want some shawarma.
Next time you see the folks who gave you the food, make sure to tell them Ramadan Mubarak.

PS: I’m unsure; many are saying it’s biryani and it might be, but biryani typically has a lot of food coloring to make it yellowish, and other things like green chillies, bay and curry leaves etc. This might be a palao.
