For example, if Alex Karp (CEO of Palantir) would do this, he’d be fired and disowned by everybody.
The far-right Nazi groups have been ecstatic since Elon did this.
I’m pretty sure if anyone would know a Nazi salute it would be the Nazis.
Imagine fighting in one of the most brutal wars known to man, losing countless friends and family, and defeating an army that the whole world considered a huge threat. Fighting for your country and thinking you won. Thinking future generations will look back and appreciate the sacrifices you guys made to keep the American way of life you fought so hard for.
Only to find that in just 80 fucking years, the salute of the enemy is being used at the Presidential podium. And those people don’t give a shit. They fucking praise it.
Fucking traitors. If you come from a family who has a long history of military service, and you knowingly voted for this, you should be fucking embarrassed and ashamed. But you won’t. And it’s sickening.

The faces in the audience are what’s truly frightening.
They all look happy — thrilled even! — by Elon’s salute. I don’t see anybody looking horrified, surprised, or even confused. Nobody’s face says, “I’m concerned this obviously friendly gesture might be misconstrued as a Nazi salute.”
These people are either so ignorant they’ve never seen footage of Hitler or Nazi rallies before, or they’re just fascists happy to let it all hang out.
What is striking to me, are the smiling people in the background. My instant reaction was outrage. Then again, I’m not a Republican or a Nazi.
