Who does the oligarchy think serves them on cruise ships, ski lodges, cleans their secluded cabin/beach house/island lodge, makes their coffee at Starbucks, cares for their sick ass in the hospital, and <please insert your job here>? The working class needs to come together so that we can remind them that the Working Class does not need oligarchs to live, The Oligarchy needs the working class to be able to live. I live in Florida and it is getting to a point that I may have to move out of state due to the high cost of living and homes are bought up fast to be turned into Airbnb. Unionizing is the answer.

I got into an Instagram argument and the guy said “this country is reverting to communism.”. I asked him to define it and he googled, “A system of government where the workers control production. “. I asked if he sees that ever happening, or and if he knows what an Oligarchy is? I asked if trump and Musk are Oligarchs or communists? If we are moving towards a complete Oligarchy or Communist society.
There was no response.
Would workers controlling production be bad? I’ll say it now Russia and China are also Oligarchies and that shit don’t work. Also, I’m not talking about fake socialism. I am talking about a free market that cuts out billionaires and workers own the company.

The fact that yall think being able to ski for a vacation makes someone rich is crazy.
My husband is on ski patrol. These guys are essentially first responders. They are trained as EMTs, but with the added requirement of moving injured people around steep, challenging, mountainous terrain on an unwieldy toboggan. The job can be physically grueling and dangerous, and they have to deal with assholes and drunks all day. Without ski patrol, these ski areas would simply not exist.
I used to work in ski hire in both Australia and Japan
About 90% of the customers we got were people who probably saved up all year just to experience a week at the snow. In Australia, just seeing snow is amazing, and being surrounded by it is a magical experience, even if we don’t get to ski on it.
The other 10% were people that don’t understand the work that so many people do for them. The lifts, the hotels, the ski patrol, the ski hire, etc. If one thing goes wrong in their already perfect holiday, they will find someone to blame and bitch about, even when it’s out of their control.
Every few weeks, I had someone complain to me, because the resort was full, or traffic was heavy, despite being a 19 year old working at some small-time ski shop…

Except, the rich simply go somewhere else and are at best mildly inconvenienced. It’s idiots like me that can afford maybe one vacation like this every 5 or 6 years, that are actually affected.
