I mean he did pretty much get recorded admitting guilt. Unfortunately, it’s much harder to do that in real life

Just watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
I can believe the cat would explode chewing on Christmas lights, but not the boss having a change of heart.
At least it’s believable sending a full tactical detail to the house immediately following the abduction of a rich guy.

Who do you think benefits from spreading this sentiment around? Most people when told their situation is hopeless do not become revolutionaries, they become apathetic and they tune out.
We have the ability to bring about positive change in society using the tools and the system we have right now. The collective fiction online that nothing can be accomplished without essentially a revolution, is less helpful to the actual revolutionaries than it is to the people y’all are complaining about.
Most people are never going to be revolutionaries, a lot more people than you think *can* be motivated to organize, lobby, vote, and protest to get things changed.

It’s neat too, because incorporations function in a way that specifically shields CEOs from facing that fate, by granting the business personhood. So in a lot of cases the company as a person takes the blame rather than an individual within the company.

His company was failing, so maybe he’d slipped down into the justice threshold of wealth where you actually get arrested for your crimes.

If he’s guilty, then what about all the research scientists and labs at Monsters University and Fear Tech who never discovered that children’s laughter has much more power than their screams and helped construct an industry based on making sure human parents won’t get a full night’s sleep, ever?

In real life he gets applauded at shareholders meeting and even gets a cameo in a Zombie Era Simpsons episode.
