Everyone is saying cancer but I used to sweat like this when sleeping under a sheet and sharing a duvet.
I started sleeping with my own cotton duvet, Scandinavian style, folded in it like a taco, and it’s like my body could better regulate my temperature and it hasn’t happened since.
Or maybe it cured my cancer, idk

My friend, i have a cocktail in my head as well as diabetes. Between anxiety and other mess, fluctuating blood sugar… I sweat a lot.
This may sound weird, but it’s helped my comfort immensely. I have one or two crochet blankets as top sheets instead of plain flat sheets, it helps both let your skin breath more and wick the sweat.
But that’s just me, o7 GL my friend

Less than an hour and Reddit is telling OP they might have cancer. I love the internet.
It probably is something to be concerned about, so best of luck on your journey and sorry about any stress this post has caused OP!

My blankets and sheets look exactly like this, too, OP. I need to flip my blanket over every time I wake and put towels down on top of my sheets so I’m not sleeping in drenched sweat. I keep a backup blanket and spare towels off to the side as by the third time of waking, everything needs swaping.
I can go months without this happening, then it happens 5-6 nights a week for several weeks, then stops.

I have this same issue due to anxiety and apnea. Try cotton bedding and sheets that are somewhat absorbant (or whatever else that isn’t plastic). It helped me a ton.
My body has a much easier time adjusting to temperature changes in my sleep now without the microfiber/poly bag sous vide.

It was weed and caffeine that caused this for me for years. Honestly weed was the main cause but caffeine after 12pm can occasionally cause me to slightly sweat at night. Haven’t smoked in two years and they went away basically 100% within a couple weeks. It affects your body’s homeostasis and ability to regulate your body temp.

Please go to a doctor asap and get normal blood work done. Symptoms for leukemia and lymphoma are night sweats. Some leukemias take 10 years to develop. My husband was recently diagnosed and he’s only 37. Night sweats were his only symptom.

I was sweating intensly like you but it was maybe a week or so and i went to the Doctor and after a few days of tests i was a proud new owner of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.I’ve since sold off my ownership of said leukemia .
Although there are chronic types of leukemia wich can take YEARS to show symptoms like sweating, tiredness, easy bruising, swollen lymph nodes, random intense headaches.
Guys and gals if you have any of those symptoms GO TO A DOCTOR. It quite literaly saved my life.

Picture seems to imply that you do not sleep alone. Ask your partner to keep tab on you a night or so, perhaps even video record a small portion of it. This is so both you and your doctor can move forward in investigating the cause of your problem.
I have severe sleep apnea (I stop breathing 42 times every hour) and in waiting list for cpap. Anyways, I can sweat from this but not like yours. Also am only a little bit overweight.

I’ve used to have this happen pretty often along. Eventually it got bad enough that I got an MRI and a couple tests done. Turns out I’m prone to epileptic seizures, mostly in my sleep. Now I’m on the proper meds and I don’t sweat nearly as much. 😁

Hey, don’t take medical advice from anonymous internet strangers, but “night sweats” can be indicative of *serious* underlying health problems. The fact that this has been happening for years is all the more reason to bring it up with your doctor. If *your* doctor says it’s nothing, get a second opinion. This isn’t normal, and rarely okay. Pardon the pun, but don’t sleep on this.

I posted the same in a comment, but you might not see it OP so I will say it again:
I had night sweats just like this for roughly 6 months, also thought it was anxiety/stress related as I was moving to a new country to start a new life at the end of the year
Ended up being a symptom of late-stage cancer, **I plead with you — go to a doctor immediately if you haven’t already**

I use to have night sweats almost 20 years ago and have up the red bull during nightshift, it went away thankfully.
Maybe you have too much caffeine in your diet? Anyway please see a doctor and good luck!

If you are not taking magnesium, I would start. Anxiety in a lot of cases is a symptom of a Magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is also one of the most important minerals that has a long list of side effects and also the one mineral the entire world is deficient in.

I get this a lot and after numerous tests and screenings I was diagnosed with MCAS- it might be worth looking into, especially if you experience a lot of random itching of an indeterminate origin/feels like it’s deep under the skin/in the muscles and fatigue. There are a lot of comorbid symptoms, but night sweats are a problem with it.

I really dont want to scare you.
My father was having such stuff for 4 months, it ended up being endocarditis(most probably wont be the case for you here since people dont live that long with such disease).
Before figuring out what the exact issue was, two friends (I contacted them because I wanted to ask them what their initial symptoms were)that had similar symptoms happened to had been diagnosed with Leukaemia- this is one of the common symptoms.
Please, visit a doctor and check this out of the list.
Edit: I just checked your other comments, seems you had already taken precautions. Best of luck with whatever it is.

My favourite thing is everyone thinking this fella will skin-piss the sheets for 4 years and not once think “I should check in with a doc”.
As somebody that has generalised anxiety, ADHD & sweat a great deal, it really doesn’t help when folks are like “have you thought about having cancer?!”
Some of y’all are being nice and polite and suggesting some doc check ups, but some you talking about “Oh I read this article from a girl that died immediately after writing it that she sweat a lot” need to think about how your words can be perceived and rethink how you convey your info.
There’s helping, and “helping” and some of you just wanna monger those scares.
Glad to hear OP has already had plenty of tests and whilst frustrating, it’s the least worst outcome – our body does weird shit at night.
You may want to see a doctor. This may be an indicator of something more than anxiety.
Could also be a physical/medical issue. Would be best to see a doctor in case it doesnt stop.
